Storytime & SLP (Summer Library Programs)

Storytime and SLP programs will be held

Tuesdays, at Osage City Park

beginning June 15th

  • STORYTIME: 10:00—10:30 a.m.  Geared for youth ages:  3-5 years old,  accompanied by an adult/caregiver  (all ages are welcome)

For the following SLP (Summer Library Programs)  space is limited and pre-registration is required ...

  • SLP I:   1:00—1:30 p.m.  Geared for youth who have completed:   Kindergarten or 1st grade
  • SLP II:  2:00—2:30 p.m.  Geared for youth who have completed:   2nd or  3rd grade
  • SLP III: 3:00—3:30 p.m.  Geared for youth who have completed:   4th, 5th or  6th grade
  • SLP IR—Independent Reading:  Geared for youth who cannot attend the program classes—contact Tracy for details

Location for all the Summer Library Programs will be at the Osage City Park - by the stage area.

Please bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Summer Workshops

June 2nd & 3rd STEM & CRAFT Activities at the Osage Public Library — 406 Main St.

These workshops are geared toward those you have completed 4th - 8th grade.

All workshops are FREE

Each Workshop is Limited to 8 participants & Pre-registration is required.

  • LED Cards:  Wed., June 2nd ,  9:30-10:30 a.m.  Make a paper circuit  “light-up” card.
  • Yarn Weaving Bracelets:  Wed., June 2nd ,  3:30-4:30 p.m.  Weave a colorful bracelet.
  • Owl Creations:  Thur., June 3rd ,  9:30-10:30 a.m.  Create using recycled material and your imagination.
  • Quilted Greeting Cards: Thur., June 3rd ,  11:00 a.m.—noon  Use quilt and paper materials to design.
  • Art Scribble Bot: Thur., June 3rd ,  3:30-4:30 p.m.  Make a motorized scribble bot & create your own art.




Kits will be available to pick up at the Storytime and Summer Library Programs or

stop by the library drive-up window and pick up a free kids activity packet.

Seussical stories and songs by Cedar Summerstock Theater performers

"The ISU Insect Zoo is a hands-on experience brought to Osage with partnership between the Osage Public Library and Mitchell Co. Extension/4-H. 

During your visit expect to see insects of all shapes and sizes, read a book, and learn why insects are so important to the world."

Insect Zoo is geared for  Kindergarten, 1, 2, 3 graders

Participants must be accompanied by an adult /caregiver. 

Insect Zoo is Free, but Pre-Registration  is required!
